The City of Victoria Parks & Recreation will host its annual Fourth of July celebration—featuring a car show, live music, a cornhole tournament and a fireworks show—July 4 at the Victoria Community Center grounds.
This event is sponsored by Parks & Recreation, Glazer’s Beer & Beverage: Miller Lite, Caterpillar, Waste Management and 93.3 The Wolf.
Before the fireworks show
The event will open at 5 p.m. with the following activities:
- Car show hosted by Parks & Recreation and local car clubs
- Cornhole tournament hosted by Crossroads Cornhole
- Kids’ zone with games and activities, including the Parks & Recreation Pop-Up Park
Two country bands will provide entertainment. The Solis Brothers will perform starting at 5:45 p.m., and Micky and the Motorcars will perform starting at 7:45 p.m.
Food and drinks will be available to purchase. Ice chests are not allowed. All proceeds from beer sales will benefit the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent.
Fourth of July Blastoff
The fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. Fireworks will be launched from the Victoria Community Center soccer fields near Ben Wilson Street. The show will feature a combination of aerial and ground-based fireworks.
Music synced to the show will be broadcast over the loudspeakers.
