The City of Victoria Department of Economic Development has launched a new website, www.growingvictoriatx.com, to better serve those seeking to live or do business in Victoria.
The website is part of the “Growing Victoria” initiative promoted by the City Council and City of Victoria staff to support growth and prosperity in Victoria through retail recruitment, small business development, quality-of-life projects, workforce development and housing development.
“This website will be an additional avenue to attract economic and community development and put Victoria on the map,” said Economic Development Director Danielle Williams. “Our goal is to support a wide variety of initiatives that will contribute to growth, whether it’s a new retailer or housing developer looking to move here or a resident who wants to start a business.”
Visitors to the website can find the following resources:
- Living Here: Information about housing, health care, education, recreation and other amenities
- Incentives & Sites: Retail trade area statistics, an interactive map and more tools to help businesses decide whether to move to Victoria
- Doing Business: Development regulations, permitting assistance and related resources to help new businesses get started
- Victoria Main Street Program: Information about business and entertainment in downtown Victoria
The website also includes links to resources on existing City websites, as well as the websites of other agencies that support business development in the Victoria area.
